If you happen to get lost in the western sahara, head north east for a 1000 miles or so towards the thick black cloud. Underneath it is Hassi Messaoud where you can find a warm welcome, a cold beer and a future of respiratory problems due to the almost constant flaring of surrounding rigs. I'll be here till 11th Feb.
