Team Dusty Crusties comprises of Bob Forrest and Andy Raynor – two friends who met a long time ago at senior school in Royston, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England.
Bob
Bob, a Yorkshireman living near Aberdeen, is a Consultant Drilling Supervisor working in the nether regions of this planet searching for the natural resources that keep us warm and able to see when it’s dark. Even as the older member of the team, Bob has a keen sense of adventure and a no fear attitude which will bear well during this latest challenge. Naturally tightfisted, Border Guards will have their work cut out fleecing the pair with Bob around. He’s supposed to be the translator for this trip, but Ou est la plage, or deux bier sil vous plait won’t get us very far. Mange-Tout Rodney?
Andy
Andy is a police officer in Derbyshire, serving the local community on the beat whilst resisting the temptation of donuts. Andy was over heard to say, “maybe a blue flashing light on our roof will speed up our Saharan adventure”. He has, however, had other useful jobs other than apprehending bad people and used to be a motor mechanic in a former life. Andy, a Virgo, has interests which include Feng-Shui, aromatherapy and Reiki. His favourite colour is Lilac.
Both have lived around the United Kingdom and met numerous genuinely generous people who they are hoping will hand over some hard earned cash for their chosen charities.
Wow! What an amazing adventure. May the mines be duds and the mad people of this world decide to have a day off when you’re in town.
